A Memorial Day Weekend

A Memorial Day weekend filled with memories of friends, family and fun. Yesterday Tricia and I went to Kern River in Bakersfield. A two hour car drive for a day in the sun and river rafting. As a first timer, I would highly recommend.

Honey tip from Tricia: have Ryder Ray as your tour guide! He is not only handsome, but puts together river trips and other fun adventures! Thank you Ryder!!!

Advice:
The weather was beautiful 80 degrees but a 3 hour river trip gets chilly in the late afternoon. So make sure the weather is warmer then 80. There were 60 of us and we all said it got to chilly.

Recommended rafts… we were in a queen mattress type it was perfect for us to both share. Floating coolers (1st picture) people lost a lot of beer, with a little wave the people in the following rafts got lucky and inherited an extra beer. (2nd picture) seems ideal and sturdy.

We purchased an underwater camera… pictures will be posted once we develop the film

Some nice dry, clean, warm, comfortable clothes were perfect for after.

Have a great Memorial Day!!! And go to Kern River
